What Is Modified Citrus Pectin?
* Source: Derived from the peels, pulp, and seeds of citrus fruits.
* Modification Process: MCP is created by altering pectin’s molecular structure (via pH and temperature) to produce shorter, low-molecular-weight carbohydrate chains.
* Bioavailability: Unlike regular pectin, MCP is absorbable through the small intestine due to its reduced molecular weight and degree of esterification.

 Mechanism of Action
* Galectin-3 Inhibition: MCP binds to galectin-3, a protein involved in:
